Halloween was fun this year. Carson kind of remembered last year, so he was expecting a good time. Plus, this year he understood the difference between "Trunk or Treat" and "Trick or Treat!" Jensen was just adorable, so that was awesome. Here's us at our Ward Trunk or Treat last weekend. Dustin is the Lion Tamer, and we are his pride of lions. We actually won an award for our family's costumes.

Farewell Good Friends!
Here are some pictures from our little farewell gathering for the Bogles at Rudy's. It has been a pleasure to have called you friends. We will truly miss your wonderful family.
And Carson will miss his good friend Nathan. He knows he's going to a place called Arizona and that he will live in a different house, but it's a lot to wrap your head around when you're 3.
We wish you the best of luck with everything! (Come back soon!)

Sunday Afternoon Surprise
Carson loves going to nursery at church. He loves doing puzzles, playing with friends, eating snacks and he loves going outside for walks. Nearly every Sunday he comes home with acorns in his pockets from their little "nature walks." Currently we have late church, so we leave for church around nap time and get back around 4:30 (way too late for nap time). Unfortunately, Carson's so exhausted that he ends up falling asleep on the way home. Yesterday was no exception. However, when I went to finally wake him up, he had a little surprise for me.
Ta-Da!
Ta-Da!
This thing is like a 3 month food storage supply for a squirrel! I was totally cracking up because this had been in his pocket all afternoon, even while he was napping!

Finally
When we moved into our house 2 years ago we put up temporary paper shades in our windows while I worked on the curtains and various window coverings. However, we never really knew what to do with our sidelights, and so up until a few weeks ago here's what we had:
Pretty sad, we know. It was rather embarrassing, and they were looking well used, to say the least. So finally, FINALLY, we found a solution that would work with our needs for privacy and much needed light into the entry and living room; Vinyl.

4th Photo Tag
So the idea here is that you go to your pictures and open the fourth folder and post the fourth picture. My fourth folder is a entire album from my brother Jeff's wedding (June of 2005). I laughed when I saw that this was the fourth photo because it's one of my mom's favorites, simply because there is a series of 3 photos. That's my nephew, Devon running into the photo frame, in the second picture you see him continue to run in front of the bridal party and in the last frame, my dad is walking through the shot (chasing after Devon!)
I tag Niki, Michelle, and my two sister-in-law Stephanies. (I couldn't just pick one of you, that would have been too confusing!)

Big Baby Jensen
It really is true, when they say that your baby will be grown before you know it. It sure doesn't feel like it in the beginning, when you're all sleep deprived and your hormones are in tangles. Jensen is 8 months old today.
He sure has brought a lot of joy into our home in the last 8 months. I love his beautiful blue eyes and his mysterious tan skin. :) I love that when I go to get him out of his crib he flashes me a big smile.
He has 3 teeth now (which he has taken to grinding - shudder!) and from the looks of it, he's got another 3 ready to come any day. He is a fantastic eater (putting those teeth to good use) and he's even still nursing (Carson was done completely by this time).
And I almost hate to say this- in fear of jinxing myself- but he has slept through the night for 3 nights in a row! Simply incredible. Happy 8 months Baby J!
Of course, I couldn't post today without making mention of Carson. Grandma Jensen sent him a really fun Bob the Builder Coloring and Activity book- which he loves, thanks Mom! But I just laughed when I saw him working in it. He's sticking his tongue out. :)

General Conference and the Big, Blue, Barf Bucket
I love this time of year. The weather is FINALLY cooling off, there is a wreath hanging on our front door, and I'm in the mood to bake again (my neighbors are so lucky).
This weekend we got to watch General Conference. At least some of it. After running some quick errands on Saturday morning while Dustin was at work, the boys and I came home to get Jensen down for a nap and find which channel Conference would be on. Carson had been complaining that his tummy hurt, but he was still otherwise acting normal. That is, until he threw up all over the kitchen floor (I'm not complaining, it could have been on the carpet!) We pretty much spent the rest of the day like this=
Poor little guy, he couldn't even keep water down. I was thoroughly impressed with him however. After the incident in the kitchen I got out the Barf Bucket, and he made it in every time after that. Not bad for 3 years old.
We're glad to say that even though Carson woke up pretty shaky this morning, he seems to be over his little 24 hour bug. He's actually been able to eat, and I think we're ready to retire the Big, Blue, Barf Bucket...for now.
