Does anyone else watch that show? Love it. Anyway...thought I'd share some random pictures from this weekend. These are from an impromptu photo shoot on Sunday morning (since we actually got ready with time to spare!!!) I love this one because of the way Jensen and Carson are looking at each other- they are such funny brothers.
And this is what I caught Jensen doing Saturday evening when I left the pantry door open.This is the "Uh-oh" face. I love these boys.

Sweet Stuff

Last night I hosted a cake decorating class for a mid-week Relief Society Enrichment activity. I had so much fun! I don't get to decorate like I used to, and despite being pretty rusty, I remembered how much I enjoyed it.

I started out by doing some demonstrating. I ended up with this cute mini stacked tiered cake.
I really enjoyed making it...but not as much as Carson enjoyed eating it! (He told me later that he liked it, but he ate too much frosting!)
But the best part of the evening was letting everyone give it try with different tips and techniques. It became quickly evident that cake decorating can be harder than it looks...and not as intimidating as some had thought! It just takes a little training and some practice. Everyone got to decorate a tiny cake to take home. I was impressed with all the creativity! Thanks to everyone who came, I had a wonderful time. (And seriously, Kristen, I would love to do it again!)

Spending Time with Auntie Jenn

So if you've been following along, Dustin's dad, Randy, had brain surgery a while back. Then he had meningitis. He actually almost got out of the hospital after that, until he split open his incision and they discovered that the bone which they placed in his head (to basically reinforce the skull) was infected. So they performed surgery again to remove it. Now the poor man can't get over the gout in his knee. It's been a rough month. But today he FINALLY came home. My mother-in-law (AKA Super Woman) has to administer his antibiotics via a picc line 3 times a day and he can barely walk thanks to his bum knee, but HE IS NO LONGER IN A HOSPITAL BED. It's a big day. Today we also said goodbye to Dustin's sister, Jennifer, who has been here for the past 10 days helping out. It was great to have her here, and I know Susan will REALLY miss her.

While she was here we played at a splash pad.
I got dog piled on.We had a primary activity where we learned about emergency preparedness from the fire department. Afterwards they gave all the kids a good hose down....And lots more. Thanks Jenn for all of your help. We can't wait till you can come again!

Our little athlete

This little funny guy loves his sports. I think all little boys love to play with balls, but he does more than just throw them around. Since he has learned to walk, he has also learned to golf.
(It is totally hilarious to watch him do this. I should video it, but to be honest, I don't know how!)

He also learned how to shoot the basketball this week.

The best part is when he claps for himself and says "Yeah!" You just can't help but smile.

Farm Boy

So when we were little we used to go to the video store to get movies. Who does that anymore...seriously? Anyway, once, my little brother Eric wanted to get a movie and when my mom asked him which one, he told her "Farm Boy." After some detective work, she finally figured out that he wanted to get "The Princess Bride" (because she calls him farm boy...duh!) (Great movie...top ten classic,, for sure!) ANYWAY, that really has nothing to do with this post, but when I put it in the title, it reminded me of that story.

We had the privilege of going out to the Simmons Family Farm for preschool this past week. My boys always like going out there. They liked checking out the cows.And the chickens.Carson even got to help gather eggs! Unfortunately, he also got a little too close to some wildlife...yup, fire ants. It wasn't pretty. But he has been so good about not scratching the bites and his feet are finally starting to look better.Thanks to the Simmons for letting us come and learn some more about your farm!
